Dr. Hugh's Learning Library was founded by a retired board-certified plastic surgeon with a lifelong passion for science, education, and helping children discover the remarkable human body.
Years spent studying anatomy, physiology, and the intricate design of the human body inspired a simple belief: children are naturally curious about how their bodies work. When that curiosity is encouraged early, it can become the foundation for a lifelong love of science and learning.
Our physician-written books present accurate scientific information in a way that is engaging, understandable, and enjoyable for elementary-age readers. Each title is carefully written to spark questions, encourage exploration, and strengthen reading comprehension while supporting science education at home, in classrooms, and in libraries.
To extend learning beyond each book, Dr. Hugh's Learning Library also provides free Teacher's Guides and educational resources for teachers, homeschool educators, librarians, parents, and other caregivers. As our library grows, additional resources will be added to support every new title.
